Create the Persona on this device, then apply it so host apps load the Instruction, Rules, Skills, and Knowledge Base. Versioning shares that bundle with your organization; apply still writes files on this machine.

Where to apply

Destination	Who gets the Persona	Notes
This device (Global)	Installed Claude, ChatGPT (Codex), and Antigravity — every project and session	Use when you do not have a project path, or want the Persona everywhere.
A project folder	The apps you select for that folder	Cursor is project-only — it has no global Persona apply.

Desktop app Apply uses its own confirm modal. Apply writes host files on this device only.

Do not expose .claude, .cursor, or .gemini paths unless you are troubleshooting. Preserve Windows paths such as C:\Users\name\project exactly.

Create and apply

Install the desktop app and open the dashboard

On Windows, please run the installer as administrator

Supports Windows 10 and later

Mac Apple Silicon Mac Intel Windows x64

The Windows installer is x64 and supports Windows 10 and later. Run it as administrator.

After installation, open Transcodes and use the Persona tab to create, edit, apply, and sync.

In the desktop app, use the Persona file list — or ask Ask Transcodes — to add each kind. See Instruction, Rules, Skills, and Knowledge Base for the expected shapes.

Apply in the desktop app

Choose a project folder or this device (Global), pick the target apps, then confirm Apply. Cursor is project-only. After Apply, restart the selected AI apps.
